Join Opera in the Rock and Mosaic Templars Cultural Center for a night of exceptional artistry! Lift Every Voice: An Intergenerational Celebration of Music and Theatre is the inaugural offering in Opera in the Rock’s new 88 Keys Series. Enjoy an array of performing arts genres, including music, theater, spoken word, and classical compositions by Little Rock native Florence Price.
This event is named for composer James Weldon Johnson’s “Lift Every Voice and Sing” which is also known as the Black National Anthem. The program will feature a montage of performances from the Philander Smith College “Collegiate” Choir, students in the Philander Smith Visual and Performing Arts Department, Westwind School of Performing Arts, the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) Gospel Choir, and mezzo-soprano Nisheedah Golden.
Opera in the Rock has established COVID-19 safety measures including, but not limited to, a requirement to show proof of being fully vaccinated within at least 14 days of the show and a requirement to wear a mask at all times inside the theatre regardless of vaccination status. Effective January 29, everyone age 5 and older must be fully vaccinated with an FDA or WHO authorized vaccine. In addition, if your performance is cancelled or if your tickets need to be cancelled to comply with updated government COVID-19 requirements, you will receive a notification of cancellation and issued a full refund for your purchase. You understand that everyone who enters the theatre will need to comply with the most current measures on the day of the performance.
